Re-piping and repairs

Keep Your System Up to Date

Your plumbing system consists of many pipes that extend throughout your home, allowing fresh water in and dirty water out. That is the basic function of plumbing. Most homeowners don’t consider their plumbing system until something goes wrong, but there are a few times outside a clogged sink or toilet that a home will need re-piping and repairs. Be sure to check for any decay or corrosion of old plumbing systems and make the repairs before you begin any other project.

You may need to repair or re-pipe to:

  • Replace outdated pipes and materials
  • Accommodate modern fixtures
  • Fix a leaky section
  • Change current  plumbing layout

Replacing outdated pipes

If your pipes are old, repiping may be the best thing you can do to make your home more efficient and prevent future plumbing problems. Homes built pre-1970 will have old plumbing materials. Some trends from the 70s may make a comeback in the future, but metal pipes and plumbing are not one of them.

Repiping will update all pipes to new copper and corrosion-resistant durable plastics – live PVC – is worth the trouble.

Accommodate modern fixtures

Modern fixtures require modern plumbing. If you’re renovating or remodeling your home, or just a kitchen or bath, repiping will be necessary to accommodate modern, sustainable, and efficient toilets, showers, and sinks.

Fixing a leaky section

Assessing your plumbing and pipes should be one of the first steps to a home remodel project, especially for older homes. The chances are that old pipes will have some problems that need to be repaired before starting anything else.

There’s no greater setback to a remodel project than having to break up your hard work to fix a plumbing issue.

Change your current plumbing layout

Remodeling often comes with a change in the current plumbing layout. In that case, we’ll work with you or your contractor to assess the current layout and make necessary changes to accommodate your vision.  Re-piping and repairs will touch on the entire plumbing system and will require permitting. We are fully licensed and insured and will assist in acquiring any necessary permits.
